The Lore Lodge is a place for people interested in history, folklore, religion, and discovering the truth behind what goes bump in the night.
And don't think of us as paranormal investigators, ghost hunters, or the like. We're not about proving what exists and what doesn't. We're here to document, discuss, and provide resources for those with a desire to learn.

Welcome to The Lore Lodge.
Our Story
The Lore Lodge began as a passion project of Aidan Mattis. Mattis always took and interest in stories, fiction and non-fiction, from the time he was young. After a serendipitous viral video, Mattis saw the opportunity to combine his dreams of creating documentary style content with his love of the unexplained. To this end, he enlisted lifelong friend and aspiring filmmaker Aidan Thornbury, and The Lore Lodge was born.

At first, content was focused primarily on growth, prioritizing short, interesting videos on TikTok and YouTube in order to build a following. With that established, The Lore Lodge Official Podcast was launched, and instantaneously developed a cult following. The next step was upgrading the quality, and The Lore Lodge moved into a larger space to create a true podcast/content creation studio. Today, Mattis and Thornbury produce content multiple times per week on YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, and Patreon.

Moving forward, this website will become a library of sorts, filled with videos, images, and documents regarding history, folklore, the supernatural and paranormal, and religious studies content. It is our hope that you, dear reader, will use the research and documentation compiled here to further your own understanding of these concepts, and earn the title of Lodge Ranger.
